The NSBA is celebrating more than 80 years representing America’s small-business owners, NSBA is a staunchly nonpartisan organization with 65,000 members in every state and every industry in the U.S. They were the nation’s first small-business advocacy organization. The NSBA boasts decades of small-business advocacy expertise, from their long-serving leadership to their knowledgeable and well-connected government affairs team. They offer access to the latest resources, information, and best practices in advocacy and communications to members, government offices, and the media.
We are proud to announce that on October 14, 2021, the NSBA named our CEO & Chief Strategy, John Martin to their Leadership Council. We were of 1 of 8 North Carolina companies named to the council. Martin, a recognized leader in the small-business community, joins alongside other small-business advocates from across the country as they work to promote the interests of small business to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
“As a small-business owner, I see daily the importance of being involved and active when it comes to laws and regulation,” stated Martin. “Joining NSBA’s Leadership Council will enable me to take our collective small-business message to the people that need to hear it most – Congress.”
He joined the NSBA Leadership Council as part of his efforts to tackle the many critical issues facing small business, including tax reform, regulatory restraint, health care costs and the impact of the Affordable Care Act on small business. The NSBA Leadership Council is focused on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small business has a seat at the table as Congress and regulators take up key small-business proposals.
“I am proud to have John Martin as part of our Leadership Council,” stated NSBA President and CEO Todd McCracken. “He came to us highly recommended, and I look forward to our coordinated efforts for years to come.”
We want to get your opinion on how Congress can help U.S small businesses. Please take a moment to provide your thoughts to John on the issues that are important to small business.
